NEW NEWS on the 20th of March 2024:We have the pleasure to inform you that on the 20th of March 2024 it was inaugurated the ‘NEBEOP Web Academy’ Chair at KU Leuven. Donator of the Chair was Align Technology Switzerland GmbH, today represented by Pierre Vélu, VP Europe. Chair holder is Maria Cadenas de Llano, professor at the Department of Oral Health Sciences-Orthodontics of our Faculteit Geneeskunde KU Leuven Faculty of Medicine. Many thanks to Align Technology, and warm congratulations to Maria and colleagues.
The Chair aims to create an innovative online Teaching & Learning Platform designed explicitly for postgraduate students of orthodontics across Europe; a comprehensive platform that aligns with the Erasmus guidelines. It will offer diverse modules featuring self-assessment tools, clinical examples, and concise theoretical modules.
Although KU Leuven takes the lead, the workgroup behind this platform is the Digital Taskforce of the Network of Erasmus Based Postgraduate Orthodontic Programs, an alliance of Professors from different universities in Europe: Radboud University, University of Groningen, University of Naples Federico II, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and University of Düsseldorf.

NEBEOP has taken the initiative to develop blended learning courses and webinars in concordance with the Erasmus Program. As a start, once a month an invited expert speaker will give a webinar related to one of the Erasmus courses. These NEBEOP Web Academy webinars will take place every first Tuesday of the month from 19:00-20:15hr (45 minutes lecture, 15 minutes discussion), starting March 2, 2021.
